HMAS STIRLING
Contract: Working with Hartec Engineering, JPD dismantled and removed two mobile cranes from HMAS Stirling situated at Garden Island.
Duration: 3 months
This involved dual crane lifts ranging from 45 tonne to 63 tonne. After the large modules were removed the remainder of the crane was reduced in size using an 80 tonne crane.
There were four stages to each of the dismantling and removal of the two mobile cranes. The final stage was completed using the two cranes and the dual crane lift was conducted.
All the scrap materials were taken to our Processing Yard situated at Dardanup in the South West, for further processing down and subsequent exportation.
