Boddington Gold Mine Stage 2

Contract: Removal and Disposal of Boddington Gold Mine’s (BGM) original Crusher Circuit consisting of concrete plinths, rafts and slabs.

Duration: 3 months

In excess of 60,000 cu mtrs of concrete was broken up utilising the PC450 Komatsu Excavator fitted with a 4.5t D&M Breaker. For the smaller slabs, a Caterpillar 322 Excavator with a 2t Rock Breaker was utilised. After all concrete was broken up it was loaded into articulated dump trucks and taken to BGMs inert landfill.

To achieve the final levels required by BGM clean fill was brought on to the site and was then leveled and compacted.
